Coupling Sleeves
We supply coupling sleeves both half bridge and full bridge as well as adaptor couplings.
Half Bridge Coupling Sleeves
These are popular couplings that come with a small non-threaded bridge in the centre, therefore, the drill rod is unable to thread through the centre of the couplings. These couplings are best suited to high torque machines.
Full Bridge Coupling Sleeves
The drill rod cannot creep along the threaded joints, and these are commonly used in Trapezoidal thread and surface drilling. These couplings tend to maintain tighter joints and reduces chances of jamming and best used on machines equipped with independent rotation.

Extension Drilling Tools
BMEL is in partnership with manufacturers of extension drilling rods used for underground Mining. These are specially heat treated with carburization and at high frequency, combined with phosphorisation to produce premium and strong drilling rods. Mining in Africa is expanding, hence preparedness to assist new and existing Mines to produce ore non-stop. With AFRICA now calling for beneficiation and establishment of refineries of metals, these new plants need mineral ore support, and drilling rods play a major role in mineral ore extraction.

These come with standard and retrac bit body. Our supply partners manufacture a variety of Thread Button Bits depending on different Mine requirements, underground Mine developments and rock resistance.

Shank Adaptors
Manufactured directly from the factory with CNC Machines, these adaptors are carburized and made from premium steel to ensure they meet anti fatigue strength and superior toughness. These adaptors are designed to meet Africa’s tough Mining conditions, and depending on Mine requirements, can be custom manufactured either male or female thread.
DTH Drilling Rods
This type of hammer tool is called DTH drilling rod. These are manufactured from premium steel to accommodate tough Mining conditions. Rock drilling is made easy using DTH drilling Rods.

DTH Back Hammer
DTH back hammers help to counter jamming of drilling tools. When the back hammer is mounted on the drilling pipe, it creates a combined effect of effective reverse impact and vibration.
- Working Pressure: 8 Bars
- Threading: API 3 ½” to API 4 ½”
- Length: 510mm to 600mm
- Diameter: 140mm to 240mm.
DTH Hole Opener Bits
The Hole Opener Bits are used to enlarge pre-drilled holes. These are used to increase the drilling hole size.
We offer different sizes according to the Hammer. Hole Opener Bits are available for the following Hammer sizes:

Reverse Circulation (RC) Drill Bits
Reverse Circulation (RC) drill bits are used for effective and efficient hard rock drilling. These are also used for various exploration drillings including deep hole drilling to extract samples.
RC Characteristics
- Keep faster drilling rate, stable and continuous sampling.
- Simple internal structure with components of high rigidity, thus ensured hammer life and convenience of maintenance.
- Carburizing treatment and good abrasive resistance.
- Simply by reaching the drill bit, the hammer can drill holes different from sizes and ensure that the sample is not contaminated.
